About Laser Assure
Mark is a registered clinical scientist with a keen interest in lasers and burns scars. He has been employed at Salisbury District Hospital since 2013 as a scientist within the Salisbury Laser Clinic and as R&D lead in the Burns Unit.
“Mark provides laser protection adviser (LPA) services to all medical and aesthetic laser clinics across the UK. This includes carrying out risk assessments, production of local rules and detailed site visit reports. As a state-registered clinical scientist, Mark can also provide detailed laser treatment protocols for any laser treatment. As an experienced LPA, he can also provide tailor-made laser safety courses leading to a certificate of laser safety.”
About Mark Brewin
Mark is a registered clinical scientist with a keen interest in lasers and burns scars. He has been employed at Salisbury District Hospital since 2013 as a scientist within the Salisbury Laser Clinic and as R&D lead in the Burns Unit.
Mark previously worked at the Royal London Hospital (now Barts Health NHS Trust) as a research physicist in medical ultrasound for 11 years. Here, he attained his PhD from Queen Mary University of London in 2010. He is a peer reviewer of scientific papers for several journals and is a member of the advisory editorial board for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology. He is an active member of both the British Burns Association and the British Medical Laser Association. He works closely with several research groups and charities to promote work to improve the outcome from burns scars.
